Supervise and assist individuals with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and other activities, as needed
Engage in activities with individuals both in their homes and community
Understand and adheres to establish Kee Essentials Home Healthcare policies and procedures
Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Mission, Purpose and Philosophy
Adhere to ethical business practices by striving to perform in a manner that conforms to the highest standards of ethical behavior, integrity and honesty
Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, elimination needs, transferring, dressing and undressing, ambulating in addition to, household tasks (e.g., bed making and linen changing, laundry, light housekeeping, transportation services, etc.), and essentials to the client’s health in accordance with the client’s individual care plan
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist in feeding clients, as directed
Document services provided in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures, and personal care plan
Maintain confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA compliance
Report any changes in the client’s condition and incidents to the Nursing Department in a timely manner
Notify the Nursing Department when clarification and/or education of tasks are required
Demonstrates appropriate judgment skills to make independent decisions in routine client care events
Perform other duties assigned
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a training / competency program as mandated by the Regulatory Agencies of the State
Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License (with 4 or less points)
Possess auto insurance (in your name)
Possess reliable means of transportation to and from work
Must be able to pass criminal background check
Able to lift (up to 20 pounds), perform one-person transfer under routine and emergency events, reposition a bed-bound client alone, bend, stretch, reach, kneel, lift, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities
Must be CPR/First Aid Certified within 30-45 days of employment, and maintain valid certifications
Must have Medication Administration Certification within 30-45 days of employment
Must attend all required orientations, trainings and staff meetings
Related work experience preferred, however, not required
